QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU START?
Frequently asked questions
Tile and stone installation is an investment in your home or business. These FAQs cover the most common questions I hear from customers so you know how I work, what goes into pricing, and how to plan your project with confidence.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide estimates after reviewing the space, understanding the tile or stone you plan to use, and discussing the project details. This helps ensure accurate pricing and avoids surprises later.
How much does tile and stone installation cost?
Pricing is based on the job, not hourly rates. Every project is different depending on materials, layout, prep work, and overall scope. We work efficiently without cutting corners, and our pricing reflects quality craftsmanship, proper installation, and long-term durability. If a project comes in over budget, we're always open to discussing options that still meet your goals without sacrificing quality.
What is your process for starting a new project?
The process starts with an on-site or in-person estimate. We’ll review the tile selection, layout or pattern, timeline, and desired start date. Once everything is aligned, we schedule the work and move forward with a clear plan from start to finish.
What experience and training do you have?
Scott has over 10 years of hands-on experience in tile and stone installation. He completed five years of union apprenticeship training, including two years focused on finishing work and two additional years in tile-specific training. Scott has logged over 6,000 hours working toward journeyman status, which reflects a strong foundation in proper methods and industry standards.
What types of tile and stone do you work with?
We primarily work with ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone across residential and commercial projects. Each material requires different installation techniques, and we make sure the right methods are used so the finished product lasts.
What types of customers do you work with?
We work with both residential and commercial clients, including homeowners, remodels, new construction, and business spaces. No matter the project size, the same level of care and attention to detail is applied.
How long does a typical tile installation take?
Project timelines vary depending on size, complexity, and materials. Smaller projects like tub surrounds can often be completed quickly, while larger or more detailed installs take longer. During the estimate, we'll give you a realistic timeline so you know what to expect.
What should I consider before starting a tile or stone project?
Tile and stone installation is an investment that adds value to your home. It’s important to choose a contractor who understands proper installation techniques and takes the time to do the job right, not just quickly.
